How do I submit artwork?
Go to your userpage, and click 'execute'. Then fill out the form.
Select your file: Your image file must be a JPG image of no more than 2MB. Images wider than 960px or taller than 1440px will be resized down to within 900x1200px upon uploading.
Select categories: These are used by the site to know in which areas to feature your work. You can select as many categories as you like. You do not have to pick one from each column, but you need to tick at least one box.
(If you feel a category is missing, please send a message to categories director elleeden. We can add them instantly if we feel they are appropriate.)
Special conditions: "Featured": if you tick this box, this image will be part of the set considered for random display on your own homepage.
"Community-Only: if you tick this box, the image will not be displayed anywhere to people who are not logged in as members.
"Stock": this means the artwork will be made available to community members in the community sotck resource that is forthcoming.
"Mature Content": You are required to tick this box if the image contains ANY nudity or is for any reason suitable only for mature audiences. This is subjective, so use your best judgement.
"Hidden": If this box is checked, your artwork will not be viewable anywhere UNLESS you include it in an exhibition. You can unhide them later without needing to re-upload.
Upload limitations
- You may only keep 100 works in your gallery. - You may only upload a maximum of three works within 72 hours (3 days).
These are NOT technical limitations, they are designed to prevent dumping, and to encourage a more discriminating standard.
How do we use your images?
Your images will be displayed only in the following ways:
1. On your own userpage 2. In a range of general galleries around the Art Is Murder website.
Your artwork will never be displayed or used in any way on this site except in the form of a thumbnail image linking to the full artwork where it is clearly credited to you.
We will not distribute your work for use on any other websites or for any other purpose under any circumstances without your express permission, but we cannot be held responsible for your art being stolen from this site.
If you mark your execution as 'community only', it will not be accessible to anyone except logged-in community members.. UNLESS you include the work in exhibitions. Exhibition overrides "hidden" and "community-only" tags in order to allow you to place work in exhibitions without it also showing up in your personal gallery.
Deleting
Go to the 'page-manager', click "Manage Artwork Gallery", and use the checkboxes to select artwork to delete.
When you delete an artwork, ALL copies of that artwork are immediately deleted from our system completely and permanently.
